IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM EVENT COORDINATOR UK – CANCELLATION OF ACCOMMDATION DUE TO INTL GATHERING 2020 CANCELLED
| This information is important and is further to the previous note I sent personally to those who had registered for the Gathering. I have asked for a list of those who have not cancelled but due to data protection am unlikely to receive this which is why I am writing to each Society to advertise the fact. It may be that all your members have already cancelled but I don’t know. This is another way of reminding them and letting them know. Perhaps, if you know which of your members are attending then perhaps you could email them directly. If people DO NOT cancel both the Cala Group Hotels in Stornoway and any accommodation they have booked in Inverness, per their personal contract with the Hotels, they WILL BE LIABLE for any charges. The Hotels in Stornoway are trying to be helpful and avoid this. I have no idea where people have booked in Inverness so can’t even start to inform hotels. I do not think travel to the Western Isles will be possible by August but if people want to keep their reservations, then that is their decision and financial responsibility but there will be NO Mackenzie activity in either Inverness or on the Island.
