The 2018 montreal highland games started out on a fantastic note on a glorious morning with no rain or hurricane winds forecasted this year…
From all accounts the games had quite a good turnout despite the very high heat. Although we did not gain any new members this year it seemed the patrons came out to support. There were many people that stopped by to chat about the clan, including a 94 year old man who had nothing but praise for the Mackenzies when they helped fight a war eons ago in Burma
We had a bit more traffic at the tent because of the “Outlander” series—seems the Mackenzie tartan is easy to recognize from afar
After speaking with a couple of coordinators (both Mackenzies) it was brought to our attention that the games of the past few years were a tremendous success with even more room to grow in the coming years. A great complement (and maybe even a challenger to) Maxville.
